The Crow River Winery and vineyards is one of the premiere Minnesota Farm Wineries, located 2 miles east of Hutchinson, Minnesota, in the middle of the Crow River Watershed on the edge of the great Minnesota prairie region. Since we began our project in 2004, the Crow River Winery staff has nurtured five vineyards near Hutchinson, growing Minnesota Cold Climate grapes. We practice sustainable agriculture while growing grapes, hard neck garlic and pumpkins.

Doppeleichen Vineyards was established in 2000 with the purchase of 13 acres of picturesque Minnesota River Bluff property just outside of New Ulm, Minnesota. Doppeleichen is German for twin oaks. The name honors the German heritage of New Ulm and two oak trees that stand guard over the property. Initial vineyard plantings were established in 2000. Minor expansions have occurred in the intervening years while we have been remodeling the century old farmhouse and assisting in the establishment of a vineyard near Gibbon, MN.

Steve and Kristin Twait purchased Forestedge Winery in March 2016. They have been making wine as a hobby for many years. It is with great excitement that Steve and Kristin are making Forestedge Winery their home.

Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery is a fully operational winery, cidery, restaurant and event center. Our sprawling estate includes a tasting room and large production areas, as well as a 6 acre vineyard on the property. Nestled in rural Southeastern Minnesota, the winery is now the exclusive home of Four Daughters wines, Sunflake wines and Loon Juice hard cider.

Founded as Chisago County’s first estate winery in 1995, WineHaven has become a cornerstone of Minnesota winemaking, producing highly acclaimed wines that capture the distinctive flavors of its vineyards and region. The Peterson family represents four generations of stewardship to the land and five distinct vineyards in the Chisago Lakes Area.

Establishing a winery was certainly the larger aspiration, but before that could happen, a vineyard needed to be developed. The first phase of the vineyard was planted in 2007 with Marquette, Frontenac and La Crescent vines, all University of Minnesota hybrid wine grapes. I added Frontenac Gris (another U of M hybrid), Edelweiss and Prairie Star in 2009. If curious, yes, both my undergraduate and master’s degrees are from the University of Minnesota!

The Seppanen family has long enjoyed traveling and visiting small family wineries. Those travels have taken us to wineries from Florida to Washington and Maine to California, as well as Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Poland, Quebec, Australia, and New Zealand. In particular we have visited many Midwest wineries in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Nebraska. In March 2013 we joined a group from Washington state for a two week trip visiting 27 wineries in northern Italy. Come see our pictures and enjoy our new stories. We have since travel with the group to France, Sicily, and Portugal.

Glacial Ridge Winery opened August 2007.  We’re located on Hwy 23 just 15 minutes North of Willmar, MN between Spicer, MN and New London, MN. There are many lakes and recreational areas in our back yard which, together with a visit to our Winery, could make for a wonderful weekend away from the city. The winery is located at the home of Jimmy Appleseed Orchard, which has over 300 apple trees boasting 12 different varieties.  When apples are in season, they continue to be offered for sale at the winery along with apple cider and caramel apples.

In 1983, in the rolling hills of an African vineyard, a couple of dreams began to sprout. Owners Timothy and Therese Tulloch became engaged to be married and immediately planned to one day own a vineyard. Between then and when the cold-hardy grapes became available, Timothy owned and operated European Roasterie while Therese owned and operated The Next Chapter Bookstore.  In 2007, their dreams of a Minnesota vineyard came true when Timothy, Therese, and their four children helped plant and nurture 6 acres of vines.  Starting her own next chapter, daughter Jackie opened the tasting room in 2014, began hosting weddings at the winery in 2015, and continues to grow the family business with husband Jeff.  Their dream? To savor the moment.  To savor family, love, and of course, delicious wine.

The Halverson Family planted their first 200 vines in 2006. Overlooking the banks of the beautiful Red Lake River, our cold hardy grape vines produce a unique flavor specific to our region.  Today, the vineyard has over 2,000 vines including the varieties Marquette, La Crescent, Frontenac, Frontenac Gris, Frontenac Blanc, and Brianna. We hope you’ll enjoy our wines and appreciate the time and effort that goes into each bottle.

At Grandview Valley Winery all of our wines are made from 100% Minnesota Grown grapes when the harvest allows (Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon excluded). Our winemaker, John Rigge, has passion and finesse like no other; he pays special attention to techniques specific to making great wine out of cold-hearty varietals and his passion truly shows through in all of the wines. We are currently offering tastings 5 samples for $5. Wine can also be purchased by the glass or bottle to enjoy here or purchased to take home with 6 bottle 5% and 12 bottle 10% discounts.

Reserved vintages are generally from segregated vineyards that receive special attention to produce low yield crops and intensely flavored grapes. The grapes are gently pressed to extract the finest juice quality for winemaking. Aged in select barrels to enhance the natural essence of the grapes with a superior flavor presentation. Two Rivers takes its name from the iconic rivers that feed the wine growing heart of Marlborough’s renowned Wairau and Awatere valleys. It was in the Awatere Valley, overlooking thebraided river, that founder and winemaker David Clouston spent his childhood.
