The Wines of Dotson-Cervantes are a testament to the glory that can be accomplished through the love and determination of a husband and wife. Alphonse Dotson, a former NFL defensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders, and his wife Martha Cervantes went from the sparkle of a dream to growing some of the most-prized grapes in Texas, and creating the most exquisite wines.

Located off the Liberty Lake exit on I-90, Liberty Lake Wine Cellars is a boutique winery offering big bold reds from the Red Mountain AVA. In September 2017 we relocated from our first home on the lake to our newly constructed winery located in the heart of Liberty Lake. Our new facility includes a larger tasting room, production space, and barrel storage. All wine production takes place on-site from crush, to fermentation, to barrel aging, to bottling and storage. The tasting room opened its doors in 2007 with the release of its 2005 vintage produced by original owners Doug and Shelly Smith. Mark and Sarah took over the operation in January 2016 with the intent of making the same big bold reds while adding a second label, Tahija, to introduce whites, rosés, and other reds from other Washington State AVAs. Since it’s opening, Liberty Lake Wine Cellars has been a gathering spot for many in the community.
