It’s December 21st, the shortest day of what has been the longest year. For centuries it’s been a good excuse to celebrate. The ancients dubbed it Yule. Crops are in, it’s cold outside, let’s have a drink! It will all make sense from a distance, in the long run. Forget John Maynard Keynes who said, “In the long run, we’re all dead!” Economists are always such party poopers. What do they know? 2020 will be a great vintage for Karma Vista. Mild winter; dodged a May freeze; dry, warm summer with little disease pressure. It’s almost as if the vines had no idea there was a pandemic in the air!
